1. String Bass Close-up [edited]: used a texture from sheet music that I photographed to blend using the color dodge blending option in Photoshop, following the directions from #27.

2. String Bass Close-up [unedited]: 15 Jan 2011 – 1 pm; Rexburg, ID – Snow Bld (BYU–Idaho); f 5; 1/13; Olympus Stylus-9000.

3. Snowy Fence [edited]: used a texture from a wall on campus to blend using the screen blending option in Photoshop, following the directions from #34.

4. Snowy Fence [unedited]: 15 Jan 2011 – 3 pm; Rexburg, ID – University Blvd., across the street from the University Village Apartments; f 26.2; 1/200; Olympus Stylus-9000.

5. Snowy Farm Pipe [edited]: used the Avenir Book font and followed the directions from #17.

6. Snowy Farm Pipe [unedited]: 15 Jan 2011 – 3 pm; Rexburg, ID – University Blvd., across the street from the University Village Apartments; f 31.58; 1/250; Olympus Stylus-9000.

  1. Herbert, I really liked your bass picture. I felt the blending of the two pictures was very well done. I’ll have to play with the color dodge option, because I love how that picture turned out. Also, I enjoyed the adjectives that you chose for your winter in Rexburg picture. They fit perfectly. I noticed that all three of your captions for the pictures said that they were taken in the Snow Building. Where exactly were the last two pictures taken? I’m thinking somewhere around the dryfarms, (I’m only asking so I can take some pictures for upcoming assignments there) 🙂
